Roll Tide Anyway, Dadgummit

Wow - talk about your classic SEC showdowns!

We came out on the short end of the stick last night v. Georgia, but what a ride it was, and this is what makes SEC football so awesome.

Random thoughts:

The problems I saw even in our victory over Arkansas were the things that got us last night -- slow defense, underutilization of the running game -- but these are things that can be fixed.

I take nothing away from Georgia -- they played a great game consistently, and they earned that win. But we made them earn it.

Here's hoping that we learn from this loss that you can't wait until the fourth quarter to fully show up.

ROLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLLLLLLLLL!

On a cheerier note.... today is Luke and Jackie's First Anniversary, and I can't believe it's been a whole year since that day! It's a good thing it's Sunday, because this sorta wrecks my plans to celebrate the day with Tequila shots, margaritas, and whatever that wacky thing with Jagermeister was I did at the tail end of the evening.

After two full weeks on an all-out exercise program, today is the first day I am sore. I'm not sure what's up with that, but there ya go. I haven't been able to tell any results yet -- weight is up a bit (probably from water retention in the muscles I've been using?), and I haven't tracked measurements -- but there are some differences I can tell.

More energy in general.

Brighter mood.

Better sleep.

Subtle changes in the way I'm carrying myself.

More flexibility -- haven't "groaned" when I get up or have to stretch to reach something.

It's all good.

I've enjoyed your blog. How many women love books AND football!!! You and I for sure. Sorry, but I am of the orange and blue (the team from Gainesville) However, I watched the GA/AL game and I thought you guys were going to win it. I stayed up way too late. I was disappointed for AL. They are a good team.
