Mid Week Stuff

I am still just enjoying the football weekend -- but I also know that it's time to focus on the Alabama-Georgia game, and come to terms with the realization that we may not win it (but I think we will).

So, while I can still enjoy the memory, here's a moment worth sharing. And yes, if you listen very, very carefully, you might can make out my voice. I'm about 48,000 people to this guy's right.

Other favorite memories from Saturday:

Getting to castigate my husband TWICE for not paying attention to the directions I was giving him, and having him have to turn around to get us back on track.

Running into customers and church acquaintances at Jim's Pit.

Running into customers and church friends at the game, everywhere we turned -- and in a crowd exceeding 93,000 people this was just a little freaky, too.

Browsing the tacky items booth and finding a PANK baseball cap with "A" on it -- but then deciding to pass, because as precious as this woulda been, I don't get having a team cap in a color other than the team colors. (They also had GREEN.)

Making it up the stairs to our seats without having to stop to catch my breath.

Having to stand up for most of the game, and not caring one whit that I did!

Getting a call from Son #1, advising us to drive home carefully, and his ending the call with "hurrah, hurrah, and all that." (Bless his heart, he is the Orange and Blue sheep of this family.)

Calling Son #2 and hearing him be every bit as excited about the W as were we!

Stoppin' at Sonic Burger on the way home, and listening to the post-game call in shows on the radio.

Having the distinct feeling that some pretty groovy people from all over the United States were inexplicably yellin' for Bama to win because I have brainwashed, um, persuaded them, that college football is fun when it isn't agony.

Well, I did get those. I actually blew the lips for my preacher last night -- he was a little stunned.

;-)

What makes me laugh are the girls who NEVER watched football who are now DRAWN to the games on Saturdays!!!
