I wish American Idol would pick a time and stick with it. While I wait for it to come on... let's pick up where I left off, shall we?
I know that Thing One especially enjoyed the last entry. Or at least I think that's what an eyeroll means.
Channel 39 (C-Span): Sue me. This station bores me as much as Golf TV does.
Channel 40 (A&E): OMG - CSI is on here, too???
Channel 41 (History): I love this channel. History is neat. And we all get to live through it. Right now, a lovely British man is explaining how bricks were made sometime in the past. Stay in school, young people.
Channel 42 (Discovery Health): Hands down, my favorite channel on TV. If I'm feeling puny, I just turn this on and become instantly grateful for what I do not have. There's a show on now about transplants. This subject is near and dear to my heart because of my friend Joanna, who was a living heart donor -- she received a new heart and lungs because of a lung problem, and somebody else got her heart. The young woman who received it didn't live -- but by God (and Joanna) she had a chance to. "Don't take your organs to heaven.... Heaven knows we need 'em here."
Channel 44 (HDTV): Every single show on this channel makes me nervous, because I get a vague sense I'm supposed to get up and do something. We're in the middle of commercials now -- two guys standing in a cranberry bog -- thank goodness.
Channel 45 (Discovery): This is a close second in my favorites. "Hazard Pay" is on right now, and tonight's episode features a guy being trained to be a corrections officer in a maximum security prison. Idealt with lots of them when I was actively involved in a prison volunteer program. I can't imagine a tougher job, and the sad fact is that more than a few of them are marginally criminal themselves.
Channel 45 (TV Land): OOOH -- a rerun of an Andy Griffith show. Barney's a mess.
Channel 47 (G4): Another channel that scares me, since it's totally tech. I'd tune it out, but I can't figure out how.
Channel 48 (TLC): Now here's a program -- an evening in a high risk labor suite. I can't stand to watch these birthing shows. I begin the "breathing" thing, and I'm always a little nervous I'm gonna drop something I can't remember how to potty train.
Channel 49 (Animal Planet): As long as there isn't a sad show on, I'm cool with this. Let's wait for the commercials to finish so I can see what's on.... twiddle, twiddle.... lalalalalalala..... one potato, two potato, three potato, four.... why are there no commercials with animals in them?... okay -- there's one about a show featuring the Monks of New Skete... that made me happy, so I'm movin' on.
Channel 50 (USA): Another channel I wish we could skip over. 9 times out of 10 they are playing that Kevin Bacon movie with the things that creepy crawl under the sand. Or Footloose. Now if they are showing Footloose, I may have to stay tuned, but apparently it's quite expensive to run those two movies, because the commercials WON'T STOP.
Channel 51 (FX): Yet another channel that nobody here but Henry watches. Every show I've ever seen had many men in sunglasses involved. They make me a little nervous.
Channel 52 (SciFi): ROFLMAO -- no sooner did I hit the button on the zapper than Henry appeared. Classic. ZAPPPPPPP!
Channel 53 (E - Movies We Love): No, we really don't.
Channel 54 (LMN): Lifetime Movie Network, aka Women In Peril TV. How many bad decisions can one woman make in 2 hours?
Channel 58 (TNT): Is it just me, or are reruns of Law and Order (the GOOD one) always on?
Channel 59 (NASA): Guess who watches THIS one? And who doesn't? ZAP
Channel 60 (We TV): I'm not sure who the "we" is supposed to be, but right now there's a show on about high school girls in a cheerleading competition. I have a lot of respect for the athletic prowess involved, but do that all have to talk like that? OOOKay!
Channel 61 (AMC): This channel should be my favorite, but I never remember we have it. If I see another one of these commercials for DiTech TV, I'll scream, and I don't want to frighten the cats.
Channel 62 (Univision): Okay, this is a new one on me. I think this must be bad old, overacted movies. I love those. You know, the ones where a guy calls a girl a "confounded nuisance" but now they are kissin', and now here come some lawmen on horses, and well, I just don't think this is going to have a happy ending.
Channel 64 (SportSouth): Only here for the football season, but right now Hank Aaron is being interviewed, and I love Hank Aaron, and actually saw him play once. Nice guy.
Channel 65 (Travel Channel): Right now they are in Las Vegas, and this makes me nervous, because I want to find a slot machine. And I do have a roll of nickels.....
Channel 68 (CourtTV): I used to just love this channel when they actually showed court proceedings. The devil is always in the details. Now it's just "seriously not entertaining."
Channel 69 (Bravo): Currently showing the slap-down that the world of interior decorating. These people get nasty.
OOPs -- supper's here!!!

I do too! ROFLMAO on Henry appearing at the sound of the Sci-Fi Channel. I don't watch those birthing shows either! :P
